Player

  • Choose between Male and Female player Caster/Melee combo
  • Magic Skills, Combat Skills and Attributes
  • Orbital camera, controlled by WASD. Rotation while in combat is dependant from camera. Keyboard and Mouse recommended
  • Weight-based Inventory System. Weapon (visible change) and Armor (only stats) slots
  • Skills Mechanics: Only can be selected 2 Skills, a Shield and an Item at the same time

World

  • Every level is procedurally generated and different every game
  • Specific features added on certain levels, i.e. Level 3 always will feature a intermediate Boss
  • Features a Town Level, for vendoring, miniquests and rest. Accessible via Teleportation or walking over every level back and forth
  • [Planned] Biome changes every few levels. ATM only Cathedral is available, with 5 Levels
  • Randomization! Random traps, chests, enemies, loot….

Interaction/Other

  • Limited destruction ability. Props in the dungeons can be broken for random loot
  • Book system, for more in-deep lore or information. Or just jibberish, who knows what you’ll find?
  • Full custom Save/Load System
  • Unity URP Pipeline. Although not planned it could be possible to release HotD in other platforms (i.e. mobile or console). I’ll likely upload a limited demo in WebGL

Enemy/AI

  • Different AI for different enemy archetypes (Melee, Caster, Ranged…)
  • Bosses have his own abilities and scripted events
  • Random table based loot drops. Currency is handled automatically by the game, no need to pick up
